Alkaline Soil Tolerant

Alkaline soils have a pH greater than 7.0 and are common throughout Montana, particularly in areas with limestone-rich soils or limited rainfall. These conditions can limit nutrient availability and make it difficult for some plants to thrive. The species in this collection are adapted to tolerate alkaline soil conditions.
